2007 City League South Champs

The West High Cowboys Varsity Volleyball Team

This year the Lady Cowboys volleyball team did a tremendous job. We went undefeated in the City League South (12-0) and made it all the way to the City Championships where we lost against the Centennial Stars. We played extremely hard. There were times we might have lacked in confidence but still we played three hard games. We dominated with seniors players on the All-City team. We had three seniors make 1st team (Danielle Glason, Shanice Alexander, and Nakisha Rondo), two players make second team (Kate Futty, Fannisha Turner), and one senior making Honorable Mention (Caitlin Blake). All in all we worked really hard to accomplish all of our goals being undefeated in the City League South and making it to the city championship. We are extremely proud of ourselves and we have no regrets in our season. By Nakisha Rondo
